What do you get when you blend love, some vows, skis and a ski mountain, and a cozy mountain lodge—a skilopement! I mean, does it get any cooler than that?
Lacey & Chad had an incredible hybrid-style event that blended the elements of an elopement and a micro-wedding all on the same day, choosing to elope on top of the mountain at Purgatory Ski Resort and ski down to enjoy a micro reception at The Black Diamond Lodge just outside Durango, Colorado with 30 of their closest friends and family!
Mountainesque Wed and Evie Joy Photography were the masterminds behind the "skilopement" concept, and Lacey decided to extend the day by adding a reception onto the package, which she won as a giveaway!
The elopement was held on top of the mountain at the ski resort, where the couple was able to exchange private vows before taking their first ski run as newlyweds and joining their closest crew for a full-on celebration at the lodge just down the road from the resort. Lacey carried a bouquet and wore a beautiful long-sleeved lace gown complete with a cozy shawl, and Chad a sharp blue suit and red tie. The couple even popped a bottle of champagne right on the slopes!
The reception at the lodge was gorgeous and included details such as a tablescape complete with greenery and candles, a mountain-themed cake, and even a shot ski!
So, dreaming of having your own skilopement?? Here’s the team that put this incredible day together!
