Think you need months to put together an incredible event?? Kim and Zach dispelled this myth with their amazing elopement in Telluride coming together in just 30 days with help from Hannah Kemp from Gathered Events! They decided to take a hybrid approach to celebrate their love—eloping (just the two of them) and having a celebration with loved ones at a later date. Hybrid events are a great option for those who may feel torn between having an elopement or a wedding.
Kim and Zach chose the picturesque town of Telluride, Colorado, as their elopement destination. They started their day by getting ready at the stunning Hotel Madeline, a luxury hotel in Mountain Village. Kim enjoyed a little pampering with hair and makeup done by Erin Cain before a first look shared outside the hotel.
The couple traveled up Last Dollar Road with their vendor team for their ceremony, making stops along the way for some incredible photos with the San Juan Mountains as the backdrop.
With a simple western rustic theme, the stunning natural surroundings beautifully elevated the event. The ceremony, set among breathtaking peaks, included traditional vows and a pastor as the officiant, and with the help of a wedding pet attendant (yes, that’s a thing!) they were fortunate to include their pup, Stetson. After the ceremony, a horse-drawn carriage took them to their reception at Telluride Sleighs and Wagons, the historic Aldasoro family ranch. The couple had an incredible meal on the front porch of a canvas tent, while surrounded by the soft glow of string lights and a warm fire beneath the stars. Adding to the romantic ambiance, they were serenaded by a duo playing classical guitar and violin.
