Ashley & Stephen's RMNP Micro Wedding

Real Micro Wedding submitted and photographed by Katie Fletcher Photography

Ashley and Stephen wanted their wedding day to be as stress-free as possible, so they decided to have a small celebration with just their immediate family, embracing a casual and simple vibe. They invited only 12 guests, which included their immediate family.

The wedding was held on September 14th, 2023, at their aunt and uncle’s private family residence in Estes Park, Colorado. Ashley and Stephen got ready in the home where the ceremony and reception were held, and after finishing their handwritten vows, their moms were on hand to help them put on their attire.

The ceremony was held in the backyard of the private residence, where they had cleared a space overlooking the mountains specifically for the ceremony. They shared their vows and exchanged rings, and then spent several minutes just soaking in the feeling of being married with their family.

After the ceremony, they went to explore Rocky Mountain National Park, experiencing all four seasons, with sun, rain, snow, and wind, which made for a stunning backdrop for their photos, captured by Katie of Katie Fletcher Photography. After their adventure, they returned to the house to celebrate with a delicious BBQ meal and a relaxing evening.

The day was mostly DIY'd, but they had vendors such as Hidden Botanics for florals, You Need Pie for dessert, Smokin Daves BBQ for dinner, The BLK Tux for Stephen's suit, Ready or Knot for Ashley's gown, and Borsheims for the rings.

Ashley and Stephen's favorite moment of the day was experiencing all four seasons in Estes Park. Their advice for anyone planning a wedding in Colorado is to embrace the weather, as it can change a lot. When you plan to do things outside, you must be willing to roll with it!
