Enchanted Hills — Springfield
We love a venue that focuses on small weddings and Enchanted Hills is one of those venues! They offer a few packages for outdoor elopements and small weddings. Their full ceremony and reception package includes use of their gorgeous outdoor space including a pond (with indoor space for backup), a getting ready suite, and some great decor amenities like string lights, and more.

Great for destination weddings on the lake! Waterfront Weddings at Lake of the Ozarks offers 4 convenient all-inclusive packages for up to 30 guests. Their packages are specifically designed for “couples looking for a more intimate, affordable ceremony”.
The Glass Haus is an incredible luxury wedding venue in Blue Eye set among scenic woodland and overlooking Table Rock Lake that offers tons of options when it comes to hosting an elopement or micro wedding. Their packages include elopement, single day, and deluxe 3-day packages. We love the wedding weekend option which includes use of their Treehaus Village for you and up to 38 guests. Most packages include use of the entire property, cozy outdoor fireplaces, outdoor games, vintage table settings, and more.
Here are some options for private home rentals through Airbnb and VRBO for your wedding venue. As usual, I was able to find more suitable properties on VRBO since their event policy is a little more generous.
Airbnb and VRBO wedding venues are perfect if you’re planning a backyard style wedding or a retreat-style wedding. Some of these properties are large enough to accommodate your entire small wedding guest list which also makes them a perfect choice for a destination wedding. Here are some of my favorites.
This list includes options for both elopements and micro weddings. While the total allowed number of guests may vary, they’re all approved for weddings!
We prefer looking for private home rentals for wedding venues on VRBO because their event policies are a lot more generous than on Airbnb. Still, you have to be sure they're allowed which you can do by checking the policy section on each listing.
It is possible to find wedding venues on Airbnb but it can be a little tricky due to restrictions placed on events a few years ago. It's not my go-to, but if you're willing to put in a lot of time for research and contacing properties you might turn up a gem or two. Here's one that I found in my research.
